Day 1: Departure from Kampala/Entebbe to Ssese Islands
The journey to Ssese Islands begins in the morning, where you will be picked up from your hotel or preferred location in Kampala or Entebbe. From there, you will be transferred to the - in Entebbe to board the ferry to Bugala Island, the largest and most developed island in the Ssese archipelago. The ferry ride, which takes about 3 hours, offers breathtaking views of Lake Victoria, Africa’s largest freshwater lake. As you sail, you can spot fishing boats, aquatic birds, and even hippos in some parts of the lake.
