Day 1: Travel to Kidepo Valley National Park
Your adventure begins in the bustling city of Kampala or the Entebbe International Airport, where you will be picked up by your guide for the journey to Kidepo Valley National Park. Kidepo is located in the far northeastern corner of Uganda, so getting there is an exciting road trip through scenic landscapes. This 4-5 hour drive, although lengthy, offers a great opportunity to experience Uganda's rural countryside and the diversity of its landscapes.
The journey will take you through northern Uganda’s picturesque terrain, characterized by vast plains, rolling hills, and fertile farmlands. Along the way, you may encounter local communities and small villages that highlight Uganda's vibrant cultural heritage. Depending on your travel timing and preferences, you might make a few stops to stretch, enjoy the scenery, or visit nearby towns.
Upon arrival at Kidepo, you will check into your accommodation, a lodge or campsite situated near the park’s main entrance. Day 2: Game Drive and Visit to Karamojong Manyattas
